LESS RELAYING. MORE CONNECTING.
Your assistant.
A little more social.
A private Telegram bridge between your AI assistant and the people you choose. You stay in control of who gets connected.
YOUR PRIVATE CONNECTION DESK
Start with your own bot.
Sign in to connect a fresh Telegram bot, invite a contact, then connect your assistant. No address-book upload required.
YOUR ASSISTANT, YOUR PEOPLE
Your connection desk.
STEP 1 OF 4
Make the introduction yours.
A couple of names make every invitation feel personal.
- Open BotFather in Telegram ↗.
- Send
/newbotand follow the prompts to choose a bot name and username. - Copy the API token BotFather gives you and paste it below.
Create a dedicated bot for this assistant. Each bot can connect to one app.
Not connected
Open your private link and press Start in Telegram. This tells your bot which Telegram account belongs to you.
Ready to connect
Use this link yourself. It expires after 10 minutes and works once. We’ll check for your connection automatically.
01 / CONNECT THE TOOLS
Create your own WhyJustMe plugin
Open ChatGPT Plugins ↗. Select + → Add custom MCP server. Name it WhyJustMe, use the server below, and select OAuth. Complete the prompts using your own WhyJustMe account.
—Your ChatGPT account or workspace must allow custom MCP servers and plugin uploads. If these options are missing, this tester route is unavailable for that account.
02 / GET YOUR PLUGIN FILE
Download your connection
Open the new WhyJustMe plugin’s details. In More actions (⋯), choose Download plugin ZIP. Use the file from your own newly created plugin.
03 / ADD THE INSTRUCTIONS
Make it a complete bridge
Select that ZIP below. We’ll add onboarding, contact access, approval and holding-reply instructions while keeping your own connection intact. Processing happens in this browser; your file is never uploaded to WhyJustMe.
04 / INSTALL & INTRODUCE
Back to your dot
On the same WhyJustMe plugin, select More actions → Upload new version and choose the updated ZIP. Review the result: it should show your connected App and the telegram-bridge skill. Install the plugin if needed, and finish account authorization.
In your chosen dot, ask:
Connect WhyJustMe to this dot. Use my existing Telegram bot, help me choose how to reply, and enable incoming messages and contact joins. Confirm both subscriptions are active.
The assistant should check existing setup, use the bot you just connected and confirm both event subscriptions. Installing the plugin alone does not enable monitoring. Dots may delay or batch events; instant replies are not guaranteed.
Waiting for your assistant connection.
TELEGRAM & MONITORING CONNECTED
Keep conversations within your limits.
Incoming messages count over a rolling 24 hours. Messages over either limit stay out of the assistant’s inbox and do not wake it. Contacts get a brief limit notice, at most once an hour. This limits message volume, not model token spend.
Set 0 to pause new messages. Individual overrides appear below. Replies and holding messages remain available for already admitted requests. You can also ask your assistant to change these limits.
By invitation. By choice.
Share each private, single-use link only with its intended contact. Its first holder joins after pressing Start and choosing “Agree and start chatting”. No further approval is needed.
Contacts start with chat-only access. Levels guide your assistant: every external write, sensitive disclosure or suspected attack requires your approval. Enforcement depends on your connected assistant.
Your circle starts here. No contacts yet.
Share invitations yourself. They expire in 7 days. Contacts can send /stop at any time; blocking immediately stops assistant access.
Give your assistant a connection
Connect the WhyJustMe plugin using OAuth, then sign in and approve its access. Your bot token stays with WhyJustMe.
—Connect another host with a manual credential
Create a separate credential for each assistant that supports bearer-token authentication.
—Connecting grants access; it does not start monitoring. Ask a compatible host to subscribe to incoming messages and contact joins, and tell it how to respond. Automatic waking also needs an operator-approved callback host.
No guesswork about sends.
“Sent” means Telegram accepted the message—not that someone read it. “Unknown” must not be automatically retried.
